De-a lungul carierei sale, a fost implicata in proiectul de cercetare: “Learning French from Ages 5, 7 and 11 – An Investigation into Starting Ages, Rates and Routes of Learning, Amongst Early Foreign Language Learners” in cadrul Newcastle University.

Astazi, reteaua Lingotot are 53 de parteneri francizati in Marea Britanie.

Angela Sterling is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lingotot International and Lingotot Ltd in the UK.

A former language teacher, Angela has taught in public and private schools in England, Scotland, Paris and Dubai. As Head of Primary Languages, she was responsible for writing

comprehensive and innovative language learning programs for children aged 3-11 in 3 languages: French, German & Arabic. In addition to this, she led the teacher improvement program for language teachers.

In 2009 three of Angela’s students ranked in the top ten in the world for their GCSEs (UK examinations are taken at aged 16). Later that year Angela began working with Newcastle University on their key research project; “Learning French from ages 5, 7 and 11: An Investigation into Starting Ages, Rates and Routes of Learning Amongst Early Foreign Language Learners.”

It was at this time that Angela founded Lingotot, starting as a sole trader operation. The business generated great interest right from the outset with the BBC broadcasting the first-ever Lingotot lesson.

Angela welcomed her first pilot franchisees in December 2011 and the business has gone from strength to strength, winning a number of prestigious awards and accolades along the way. In 2016 Angela formalized the Lingotot Method by creating language qualifications for children, accredited by NCFE, an OfQual regulated awarding body in England. These qualifications are unique to Lingotot and a first for the UK. Keen to further improve teaching standards, Angela went on to create the only teaching qualifications for language teachers at Early Years and Primary levels. These are accredited by NCFE and Cache.

After seeing the huge positive impact franchising has had for her own, mostly female, franchisees, Angela is a huge advocate for franchising as a great option for women and in 2017  she became Regional Chair for EWIF (Encouraging Women into Franchising).

The Lingotot network currently has 53 franchises in the UK, employing further 70+ languages teachers.
